Packaging for ready-to-cook and frozen products must withstand tough conditions — and the label is the first to be put to the test. It must remain strong, legible, and visually appealing even after repeated freezing, temperature fluctuations, and exposure to moisture. That’s why using specialized freezer-grade materials is essential — materials that maintain their properties in cold, humid environments.

At Ribbon UA, we produce labels for frozen foods that ensure durability and reliability under any conditions. Our labels preserve text clarity, color vibrancy, and firm adhesion throughout the product’s shelf life. Key product details — ingredients, preparation method, and expiration date — stay readable, even after multiple freeze–thaw cycles.

To make your packaging look modern and trustworthy, we use advanced digital printing and MGI JETvarnish 3D WEB finishing. Selective varnish highlights important design elements, foiling adds brightness and polish, and digital embossing creates a tactile texture that elevates the product’s perceived quality. The result? A label that stands out on the shelf and makes a great first impression — even before the customer opens the package.

A high-quality label for ready-made or frozen food is more than just an information carrier. It’s a powerful tool that guides customer choices, builds brand trust, and supports consistent sales growth. That’s exactly what we deliver at Ribbon UA.
In this section, we've gathered answers to the most frequently asked questions to help you quickly find the information you need.
What is MGI printing and how is it different from standard printing?
MGI printing is a digital finishing technology that allows the application of raised varnish and colored foil without using dies or plates. Unlike standard digital printing, which only reproduces images, the MGI JETvarnish 3D WEB adds tactile and visual effects — relief, shine, and textures. This solution makes it possible to highlight specific design elements without additional tooling.
Can multiple effects be combined on a single label?
Yes, it is possible to combine several effects on one label. The MGI JETvarnish 3D WEB supports mixing varnish at different heights, foil, and microtexturing within a single pass. This provides more freedom in design and allows for complex visual effects without extra technical steps.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum production run is 20 linear meters
How much do premium labels cost?
The cost of premium labels is calculated individually and depends on many factors: label size, varnish coverage area, relief height, presence of foil, type of material and adhesive, and total quantity. The exact price is provided by a manager after reviewing your design or request.
How long does it take to produce MGI labels?
Production time is usually up to 10 business days after the technical specifications are approved.
Do you offer label design services?
Yes, we have an in-house design team that can create a layout from scratch or adapt your existing design. We’ll ensure your files are print-ready and offer optimized solutions for your product.
